The Noble Eightfold Path

The intention of the Noble Eightfold Path is to liberate oneself from samsara, which means being reborn, and obtaining the ultimate state of Nirvana. This is done through eight different steps.

1. Yama: to practice non-violence, truthfulness in everything you do, and detachment from material things

2. Niyama: Observe purity, a clear mind and body, contentment, practice meditation, self reflection and persistency

3. Asana: the different yogic positions

4. Pranayama: Breath exercises to clear the body

5. Pratyahara: Withdrawal of the sense organs from external objects

6. Dharana: Concentration

7. Dhyana: Meditation

8. Samadhi: Liberation

In our sessions together, there will be a balance between the teachings and philosophy of yoga, and the practice of asanas. This balance is something we will work on together, to find the optimal equilibrium to benefit you and your process.
